The Beirut Forum was founded with the intention of bringing together all publications and outputs from the Arab Council of Social Science’s Working Groups Program (WGP). The WGP aims at uniting scholars from across the Arab region, who are at different stages in their academic careers, to work collectively in Working Groups (WG) under a research theme or project. This collaborative work would not only allow them to network effectively and share academic knowledge, skills and experience, but it also encourages interdisciplinary research within the social sciences within and on the Arab region.

The ACSS has the following working groups:
